What Is Fiverr?
Fiverr Is The Worlds Largest Freelance Hiring Site
Fiverr is the world's largest marketplace for finding freelance work or hiring freelance contractors. Fiverr was founded in 2010 as a niche site where people would post whatever services they wanted to perform for $5. As the site grew and attracted more experienced and professional talent, prices for work on the platform grew with it.
All Services Start At $5
As the name implies, all services start at just $5. Although there are now professionals in the Fiverr Pro category whose work generally starts at $100 or more. However even though these pros have joined the paltform, there are plenty of freelancers on the site that still charge $5.
What Does The Fiverr Affiliate Program Pay Commission On?
The Fiverr affiliate program covers not only the main Fiverr site, but a few of its subsidiaries as well. Here is a breakdown of what the Fiverr affiliate program pays commissions on:
Main Fiverr Services
The Fiverr main site is where you will earn the bulk of your commisisons. Right now, services like blog writing and web design are very hot. The affiliate marketing industry is booming and marketers are always looking for ways to outsource content so that they can either produce more or focus on other aspects of their business.
Another hot area on Fiverr is voiceover & translation services. These requests are usually put in by YouTubers and other content creators.
The services that pay the best though (more on that later) are the Fiverr Pro services. Fiverr is really pushing this program right now because it can be a major profit center due to the higher prices for services.
Fiverr charges a 20% service fee on top of the cost of the service and obviously the $100+ services make them more money than the $5 services.
Fiverr Learn Course Sales
A lot of people may not know this, but Fiverr has an online courses arm like Skillshare or Udemy called Fiverr Learn. Course Creators can place their courses on Fiverr Learn and take advantage of Fiverr's marketing efforts.
As a Fiverr affiliate, you can promote these courses and Fiverr will pay you a commission on any courses that you sell.
AndCo Products
AndCo is probably the most obscure product that the Fiverr affiliate program pays commission on. I actualy had to look up what it was when I signed on as an affiliate myself.
If you're a freelancer, it can be time consuming and difficult to track your hours on a project and make sure that your client is paying you. The AndCo suite of products is a software solution that manages that all for you in a single subscription.
Fiverr Affiliate Program Commission Structure
"So what can I make?" is the question that I'm sure you're asking. The Fiverr affiliate program actually gives you a choice of how you'd like to get paid and it's important that you understand how each commission plan works. This way, you can maximize your earnings. Here's how they're broken down:
Basic CPA Plan
This plan applies to the Fiverr main site. The basic CPA plan is a program that pays you a one-time commission based on the service you sell. For instance:
If you're promoting blog writing services, Fiverr will pay you a flat $25 for each customer you refer to them. If you're referring people who are looking for a mobile app designer, the commission is a flat $40 per customer.
This plan really pays off if you're referring customers to the Pro platform. This is because the commision is $150 for every Pro customer you refer.
When To Choose This Plan
This is the plan to choose if you think your audience will be one-time buyers or they're going to pick lower cost services.
Hybrid CPA Plan
The Hybrid CPA plan pays a flat $10 per customer referred, plus 10% of whatever that person spends after the first sale. For example, say you referred someone who needed a blog post and they ended up loving what they got so much that they ended up ordering 20 blog posts from Fiverr.
You would be paid $10 for the first post, and 10% of the value of the other 19 posts. If the person you referred was spending $50 per post, commissions can add up pretty quickly.
When To Choose This Plan
This plan is great if you're audience is more established and looking for long term solutions. This is because the break-even point can be kind of high on the Direct CPA plan, and if you end up referring someone who frequents the Pro section, you can really make some bank. The high end of the pro category can be upwards of $2000 for services.
Fiverr Learn Revenue Share
The Fiverr Learn commission plan is a straight 30% revenue sharing program. This means that you're paid 30% of whatever your referred customer spends on Fiverr Learn regardless of the price of the product.
Because most courses on Fiverr Learn are under $100, it's a great place to refer a less experienced audience that may not necessarily be comfortable spending $500 or more on a higher ticket program.
AndCo Revenue Share
The AndCo commision program is a 50% revenue share program meaning that Fiverr will basically partner with you 50/50 on these products. This can become a nice little passive income stream over time because they're a subscription based service.
The price for AndCo is $18/mo, so you'll earn $9/mo for each referred client. It may not seem like much, but a well placed YouTube Video or Blog Post can bring in hundreds of customers over time.
