I hope you’re enjoying getting to know me and my story. I know the last two posts have been a little long, but I want to make sure you get to know the real me so I tried not to leave anything out.
Things I Never Planned On
When I first started my online business, I knew I was going to make money and have some more free time to spend with Elizabeth, but there are a few things I never realized would happen…
My New Crazy Contacts List
First, I’m building a pretty amazing Rolodex. When you build relationships with people, the recommendations can go both ways. If I need a project done at my house, I can pretty much just ask my customers via Facebook if they know anyone in my area or give me an idea of what it should cost so I don’t overpay. If I need an attorney for something, I’m sure they’re just a Facebook message or an email away. Same thing if I need an accountant. I can shoot a message out to my customer base and get a recommendation for just about anything I need almost instantly.
I’m Not Camera Shy Any More
I also didn’t realize that I would get over my fear of being on camera and hearing my own voice. This happened from consistently creating the content. I have so much more self confidence now after making and editing videos and now have a valuable skill for life.
I’m Also Super Organized Too
My time management and organizational skills have also greatly improved. Having no free time because of running my failing business while building my new business on top of being a stay-at-home Dad and a good husband at the same time forced me to prioritize and become incredibly productive. I can now focus on tasks, minimize distractions, and get sh*t done in a timely fashion.
Next Time
In the next installment of my story, I’ll talk about my pivot from Fiscal Freedom to Dadapreneur.
